Flying an aircraft

The Directorate of Civil Aviation (DAC) issues aircrew licenses according to different regulations:

  • for balloons
  • for gliders;
  • for parachutists;
  • for planes and helicopters;
  • for ultralight motorized pilots.

Training in a school certified or recognized by the DAC is required to obtain the various licenses. This consists of a theoretical part and a practical part, as well as theoretical and practical exams.

In addition, each pilot or parachutist needs a valid medical certificate issued by an approved aviation doctor.
