Driving licence

Driver

Anyone wishing to drive a vehicle on public roads must hold a valid driving licence.

Driving licences, regardless of category, can be obtained through an approved driving school in Luxembourg.

The procedures and conditions for obtaining a driving licence, in particular the minimum age requirement (between 16 and 21 years), may vary from one category to another (from A to F).

To obtain a driving licence, applicants must complete theoretical and practical training. The duration of the training depends on the applicant's abilities and whether they already hold a driving licence of another class.
