When should you call the police in the event of a road accident?

Call the police on 113, just to warn them:

  • if there are casualties;
  • if there is a difference of opinion about the circumstances of the accident;
  • if the other party is intoxicated.

Only contact 113:

  • in emergencies;
  • in the event of a threat;
  • in case of danger.

Provide the following information:

  • Your identity;
  • the location of the incident;
  • possibly your whereabouts.

and give:

  • a clear and accurate description of the situation!

Then:

  • answer the 113 call taker's questions;
  • do not hang up.
