A leap forward for mobility: two new stops with the arrival of the tram at Luxembourg Airport
Luxembourg's public transport network is taking a new step forward with the completion of the first tram line and its arrival at Luxembourg Airport starting March 2, 2025. To support this progress, two new stops, "Findel – Luxembourg Airport" and "Senningerberg, Héienhaff," will offer users optimized interchange between trams, buses, and cars, thus facilitating daily travel.
Haltestelle "Findel - Luxembourg Airport"
From March 2, 2025, the new "Findel – Luxembourg Airport" tram stop will provide travelers with direct access to the airport and ensure optimal connections between the tram and several AVL (lines 6, 16, and 29) and RGTR (lines 223, 302, 361, and 850) bus lines.
To ensure efficient connections to the airport, the "Aéroport Luxembourg/Findel Quai 5" and "Aéroport Luxembourg/Findel Quai 6" bus stops are located on Route de Trèves (N1), near the exit of Airport Parking A.
Stop "Senningerberg, Héienhaff"
With the arrival of the tram at the "Héienhaff" P+R stop, the "Senningerberg, Héienhaff" bus stop will open on Trierer Straße (N1). It will be served by the AVL (6, 16, and 29) and RGTR (223, 361, and 850) bus lines, ensuring seamless connections to the tram.
A new bus station will further strengthen this infrastructure and accommodate additional RGTR lines from the east of the country and Germany, strengthening regional connections.
Finally, the "Senningerberg, Autobunn" stop on the N1 will be replaced by the "Senningerberg, Parishaff" stop on Boulevard Hoehenhof.
With these new stops, we are improving the experience for public transport users and thus strengthening the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg's commitment to efficient and environmentally friendly transport.
Detailed maps of the Findel and Héienhaff stops are available in the appendix to the press release (in French, gouvernement.lu).
