Infrastructures for micro-mobility

Infrastructure

Active mobility

If you use a personal mobility device (EDP), you are considered a pedestrian.

An EDP is therefore permitted, subject to consideration for other people travelling on foot in areas intended for pedestrians:

  • on the pavement;
  • on a zebra crossing;
  • in a pedestrian zone;
  • in a residential area;
  • in a meeting zone;
  • in a shared space;
  • on paths marked with a traffic sign for roller skates.

If you are travelling with a micro-electric vehicle (MVE), you are considered a cyclist.

From the age of 10 you are allowed to ride and from the age of 13 you must ride in the areas designated for bicycles, otherwise on the circulation roads.

Children under the age of 10 are allowed to ride on the pavement and other places intended for pedestrians if they give way to pedestrians.

Verschiedene Gemeinden in Luxemburg haben auch einen Skatepark (google-maps-Suche) eingerichtet, um die Mikro-Mobilität als Spaß oder Sport zu praktizieren zu können.
