Eurovignette: road toll for trucks
Trucks have to pay a user fee, the so-called Eurovignette, to be allowed to use certain roads in Luxembourg, Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden.
As soon as the user fee has been paid, the vehicle is immediately registered in the database of the member states of the Eurovignette agreement.
In the event of an inspection, the officials check the vehicle registration number in the database to see whether the fee has been paid. This means that the carrier does not have to carry the certificate of payment of the Eurovignette in the vehicle at all times.
