Bicycle/e-bike (pedelec25)

Active mobility

Many cyclists know the bicycle as a tool for leisure or sport. But the bicycle is also a means of mobility and transport.

Ideal for short distances, cycling is an easy way to get around thanks to the multimodality (acces to: bus, train, funicular, tram).

What's more, cycling has a positive impact on health and helps protect the environment.

A bicycle within the meaning of the Highway Code (Code de la route) can be used on both roads and cycle paths.

The pedelec25 is also a bicycle within the meaning of the Highway Code, providing electric assistance at speeds of up to 25 km/h.

A pedelec25 is fitted with an auxiliary electric motor with a continuous rated power of 250 Watts or less, whose power supply is interrupted if the cyclist stops pedalling, and is reduced and then interrupted when the bicycle's speed reaches 25 km/h.

A pedelec25 does not need to be registered and can be used on both roads and cycle paths.
