Funicular Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg
The CFL funicular, inaugurated on 10 December 2017, provides a link between the Pfaffenthal and Kirchberg districts.
It connects the Kirchberg plateau to the rail (via the Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg station) and provides access to the tram, the bus and the PC2 cycle path.
Timetables
The funicular is automatic and runs independently of train or tram timetables.
However, to ensure a smooth flow of transport between train, funicular and tram: departures/arrivals every 3 minutes during peak times.
During off-peak hours, the funicular runs at a rate of 3.5 minutes with only one installation, respectively two cabins.
Waiting time: 140 seconds between each ascent/descent.

The funicular is completely free and accessible without any ticket.
